Anric Group’s OHW Structure Grab and Articulator 5000 are purpose-designed attachments that transform the way overhead wiring structures, signal poles, and other rail infrastructure components are installed.
Developed to address the limitations of traditional crane-based methods, these attachments are faster, safer, and more versatile, allowing rail teams to complete critical installation works efficiently and without costly delays.
Articulator 5000
Both attachments significantly increase productivity, up to four times faster than using a crane. By mounting to a road-rail excavator, operators can position and install poles or OHW structures quickly, cutting installation time and minimising project disruptions.
When fitted to a road-rail excavator, the OHW Grab and Articulator 5000 lift and position structures without the need for outriggers. This not only improves efficiency but also allows the machine to operate on live or constrained track sections where setup space is limited.
Traditional lifting methods rely on top-down rigging, which isn’t possible under bridges, tunnels, or overhead structures. These attachments are specifically designed for such restricted environments, enabling infrastructure to be installed directly beneath bridges or ceilings, where cranes simply can’t reach.
The unique grab design eliminates the need for external rigging, reducing labour costs and safety risks. By removing slings, chains, and rigging crews from the process, installation becomes cleaner, faster, and safer.
Both tools feature a highly adaptable clamping system that can securely grab any shape of pole or structure from round and square signal posts to complex overhead wire masts and portal frames. They can even lift fully dressed signal structures complete with lights, ladders, and platforms, without disassembly.
By allowing full signal posts and OHW structures to be lifted and positioned in one piece, these attachments eliminate the need for staff to work at height fitting components post-installation. This not only saves time but also improves compliance with rail safety standards.
