Developed through a collaboration between Berende Spoorwerken and Van Arkel of Nijhuis Engineering, this patented system enhances the versatility and safety of rail-bound machinery.

  • Enhanced Stability: The BEAR system incorporates a unique rail-wheel guidance mechanism with automatic CANT correction, ensuring optimal stability even on uneven tracks.

    This Enhanced Stability allows for a higher productivity work flow due to its ability to pick and carry large loads. The Liebherr 928 BEAR has the ability to work up to 90% of its static load chart but in dynamic work mode. This is revolutionary in pick and carry operations with rail excavators.

  • Dual-Work Mode Operation: Operators can switch between high and low rail positions (Type 1 & Type 3) allowing work and travel over infrastructure without the risk of damage and type 3 for increased traction as needed.
