Anric Group was engaged by Sydney Trains to carry out critical safety and maintenance works along the Helensburgh rail corridor in the Illawarra region. The project involved two key components: shotcreting exposed rock faces and deshrubbing dense vegetation throughout the corridor.

What We Delivered

Shotcreting Rock Walls

Our team applied structural shotcrete to stabilise the exposed rock walls alongside sections of the track. This solution helps prevent rockfalls, reduces erosion, and provides long-term support to the corridor’s surrounding terrain. Access was limited, requiring careful staging and specialised equipment to complete the works safely and efficiently.

Deshrubbing the Corridor

We also conducted full-scale vegetation management using a lean crew and two EPWs. Clearing vegetation along the corridor improves driver visibility, reduces fire risk, and prevents damage to rail infrastructure from overgrowth.
